Profile

Kyle Strickland is a second year Master’s Thesis student in the Burnett School of Biomedical Sciences in the College of Medicine at the University of Central Florida. He received a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences and a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences Pre-Clinical from the University of Central Florida in 2017. He also served in the United States Air Force from 2003 to 2013 as an Airfield Systems technician. Currently, he is working in Dr. William Self’s lab researching drug discovery for Clostridium difficile and characterization of a novel hemerythrin-like protein in Mycobacterium tuberculosis. He has been with EXCEL/COMPASS since Spring 2018. He will be working as both the Undergraduate Research Experience Coordinator and GTA for STEM Seminar.
