Originally funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), the mission of COMPASS is to increase the number of UCF students pursuing a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) discipline. To facilitate the successful accomplishment of this mission COMPASS offers students opportunities for career exploration and experiential learning in STEM the first two years of their college career.

About COMPASS

COMPASS is for students who are undecided on which major or career to pursue in college but want a head start exploring career options in STEM. Whether students are undeclared, have declared a major they are unsure about, or have recently declared a STEM major and are looking for guidance, COMPASS can assist. Once declared in STEM, COMPASS members become part of the EXCEL program.
